Sometimes, during that long trip, I kind of put away my photographic apparel, in Salzburg, I was there three days and manage to take only a few pics, about 8 or 9 photos…most of them a day I went up the hill to Holhensalburg castle, it was the end of november, a bit cold, windy and raining partly, like it did for most of these days, so I probably spent more time in the Youth Hostel bar, than walking the streets, even if I did quite a bid, but just looking, no pictures….and very few tourists going around…

Parfois au cours de ce long voyage, il semble que ‘j’oubliais’ mon appareil-photo, j’ai passé trois jours là-bas, fin novembre 1986, il pleuvait la plupart du temps, et j’ai probablement passé plus de temps à l’auberge de jeunesse plutôt que de me balader en ville, quoique je l’ai fait assez souvent, il ne pleuvait pas continuellement, mais au cours de ces marches, je regardais sans photographier…sauf pour une journée où j’ai monté jusqu’au château de Holhensalzburg, quelques clichés pour cette journée froide, enfin fraîche, grise et pluvieuse, donc évidemment bien peu de touristes qui arpentaient les lieux….

And a tourist, like me…funny most of the time I don’t include people in my photos, maybe the on an off photographer I am is shy, or simply more interested in graphic composition offered by places I visit, or maybe both…

Et une touriste…comme moi…d’ailleurs la plupart du temps mes photos montrent bien peu de gens, j’imagine que le photographe que je suis parfois, est soit timide, ou aime mieux l’aspect graphique des lieux, ou les deux…
