I though that I would let my cat introduce himself…hum difficult, so here’s a few photo and a new page under the PHOTO sections, the link Mon chat – My cat

And a few photos, in fact the ones that are now in the page gallery, more to come of course.

I guess if he could write, today he would probably write something like this

‘Well it is about time, my servant, oh yes he thinks he is my master, but I own him…:) except that for the last few weeks he works way too much, and I have to wait for him to feed me, clean the litter box, he leave so early in the morning and come much too late at night, but  I think he’s pretty good…for a human…:D

Except, that when he’s finally here and spent time home, he’s going to draw, or sit in front of a funny looking window, but that you can really see outside, but there’s a few things moving, I try to scratch it, but since when I was young, they remove my claw i just can stick my paw in this funny looking window, and finally get my servant attention, I am hungry….

Ok now what I heard, that,s me now, the servant…and it sounds like ‘ brrr moew, brrr brrr brrprttt rrrrr rrrrr rrrrr  r  rrrrrrr, and much more of that…

And, today I kept updating and changing my sites on Weebly, the french/English one and this one, change the label too, the upper page

Eventually, when I will have more time and try to set up those sites so they will complement each other and maybe don’t overlap too much, I will let you know, and let Pinceau have his say too…:)

Sometimes, like for the most part since this year has begun, I can’t hardly find the time and the way to my studio, so as an escape, a short one, from the less important things to me art than drawing or painting, but that I can’t avoid to do, my graphic palette and photoshop do offer me a quick way to at least take some time for art and hence this quick sketch…

Parfois, comme la plupart du temps depuis le début de l’année, je ne réussis pas à trouver le temps et le chemin vers l’atelier, donc pour ne pas perdre la main, une petite demie-heure avec ma tablette graphique, photoshop et au moins je trouve pendant un instant l’impression que je ne délaisse pas complètement mon art, donc vite une esquisse avant que je doive retourner à autre chose de moins important mais que je dois faire…

Bribing a model…

My cat, like most cats I think, is a difficult model, have to try to bribe him to make him pose, here’s we can almost feel his terrible hunter instinct, terrible in the sense of bad, is not a hunter I guess, but I manage a photo..

Mon chat, comme la plupart des chats, est un modèle difficile, alors j’essaie des trucs pour l’amener à prendre une pose, on voit ici son instinct, éteint je crois, de chasseur, face à deux croquettes, bof au moins j’aurai eu cette photo…

OPENING NIGHT….Slowly, but surely…

I have decided to upgrade this site as well, what does that mean? Not much differences, post and most of the works will be shared or presented on both sites, but occasionally, there will be add-on to this or the other site, tonight its ‘OPENING NIGHT’ for a page dedicated to my computer works, it is for now skimpy…but it will grow, and of course you can also go to le ‘site soeur’….there will be more page and galleries with photos, videos, not right away but as it goes.

Both will still be bilingual, english first on this one, and french first on the other, but it may come that occasionally things could be published or presented in one language only, but the counterpart will always be on the other site…so kind of not really an opening night , but taking a bit, slighty, not much…:) different way than the other…

J’ai finalement décidé d’investir un peu plus dans ce site, ce que cela signifiera, je n’en suis pas sûr…mes deux sites continueront de présenter les même articles et travaux, mais occasionnellement il y aura des choses qui seront sur un ou l’autre, éventuellement sur les deux, la présentation sera différente, pour le moment les deux resteront complètement bilingue, enfin presque..il se peut qu’à l’occasion soit par manque de temps ou tout simplement par choix, il pourrait y avoir des sections seulement en français ou en anglais, mais les oeuvres et travaux seront toujours sur les deux sites.

Aussi cela me donnera l’occasion de monter des pages et des galeries montrant plus de photos, vidéos présentés par sections – peinture, photographie, illustrations, travail 3D..donc une tangente légèrement différente pour les deux sites..

One of the last night spent in Vienna, my adoption city for 4 months in 1987…as usual, I was coming back from the coffee, where I had a few pints, spent the night drinking, playing chess, I was probably holding alcohol better than my friends-opponent (chess speaking…) because I won a lot of game coming back from behind, after a last one with those friends, the bar owner Raimund, the coffee bear his name Raimund International, the waiter Andy, his girl friend, Christine, , and a few others, I was coming back to my temporary place for those months, a nice pension held by Khaled and his wife, a nice polish woman, can’t remember her name, anyhow, not important, I saw that store showcase, and make a night shot with my faithful friend at that time, my beloved Pentax K-1000, and I was probably thinking, I will make a painting of that, it’s been close to 30 years, still a project…for my older days to come…:) The problem I think I have too many projects for the number of old days left…so I guess I have to get back working hard on my paintings and other things…pastel, photos, illustrations….:) and getting a new faithful friend, don’t know if it will be a Nikon, Canon or another type of numeric camera…

une de mes dernières soirées passées à Vienne, voilà bien longtemps, mai 1987….comme d’habitude je revenais de mon café préféré du coin, Raimund International, pris quelques pintes, joué aux échecs avec quelques habitués de la place, et le serveur, pris une dernière en compagnie du patron Raimund, je m’en retournais au bed & breakfast qui m’a servi de logement pendant les quatre mois passés là-bas, et cette vitrine capta mon attention, mon appareil-photo, jamais trop loin de moi dans ces années là, mon fidèle ami, un pentax K-1000, croqua cette image nocturne d’une vitrine, que je voyais en talbleau, c’était voilà bientôt 30 ans de cela, un jour ce sera un tableau, on doit se garder des projets pour nos vieux jours, pense que j’ai déjà plus de projets que de vieux jours devant moi…:), j’imagine que je dois me dire qu’il est temps de me remettre au boulot, peindre, dessiner, souriller….avec ma tablette et me trouver un nouvel ami, un Nikon, Canon ou autre appareil numérique de meilleure qualité…:)

Back to pastel…

Souvent, dans les périodes où la production est au ralenti, le pastel a souvent servi de moteur de relance, on croirait presque entendre un de ces  économistes qui commentent sur une possible reprise, moi dans mon cas il ne s’agit que de me remettre à faire ce que j’aime, donc souvent le pastel a agit comme moyen de repartir la machine, espérons que ce sera le cas encore une fois, retouché celui-là hier soir brièvement, finalement aujourd’hui j’ai trouvé enfin le temps d’en faire un peu plus, un samedi soir tranquille qui se poursuit en ce dimanche après-midi. dans le calme enfin retrouvé de mon atelier…je me sens tellement bien lorsque je réussis à m’y évader, ou enfermer, s’enfermer pour s’évader, un paradoxe…

Often, when it is difficult for me to find a way to work on my art, somehow pastel offers me a mean of overcoming this, so  I guess I should try it again, so coming back to a previous one started a while ago, so hopefully it will encourage the production, well that’s sounds almost like those economists arguing how to start again the economy, in my case, I will content myself just by starting doing art on a regular basis, like I used to do…so this one I worked shortly last night and again today I was able to finally get into my atelier, lock myself (not really, but in a way of speaking, writing..) and free myself  from other things to work, draw, paint, lock myself to escape, kind of a paradox…

Et pendant ce temps, mon fidèle supporteur, ne semblait pas trop préoccupé par mon pastel, le fait que s’enfermer pour s’évader peut constituer un paradoxe, il semble plutôt s’en foutre complètement, ou c’est tout simplement le calme de l’atelier et du salon qui lui importe plus…

And while all this is going on, my faithful fan, did not seems to be to bothered by this paradox…in fact did not seems to be very interested in my pastel either, he just kept drowsing on the sofa, very content just to be in the same room and probably wondering what the hell his human servant was up to…:)

Somewhere, over Northern Manitoba…

No it is not the title of a movie or a novel, just a flight, If my memory is not too faint, it was probably taken during a flight to Thompson, or coming back, so it is probably somewhere over those vast bushes covering northern Manitoba, before getting to the barren land bordering Hudson’s Bay.

Non ce n’est pas le titre d’un roman ou d’un film, tout simplement un vol si ma mémoire de cette période assez lointaine, mai-juin 1982, n’est pas trop faussée, je me souviens de quelques vols, Montréal-Winnipeg, et Winnipeg-Thompson, donc je crois qu’on devait être en route, soit vers Thompson ou de retour vers Winnpeg. Les quelques jours passés à Thompson, il faisait froid, il pleuvait, probablement pour cela que mon appareil-photo, et moi, s’étaient fait bien discret là-bas….

As for everything else these weeks, seems I can’t hardly keep up with maintaining my sites up to date, so an almost complete update of this page…

Comme tout le reste, il me semble, j’ai de la difficulté à maintenir cette page à jour, donc une mise-à-jour, enfin presque complète….

Quelques images des plus récentes oeuvres / A few pics of my most recent works.

A few more presented here than in the previous post on my french/bilingual, this one is english bilingual, Canadian duality I guess…:); still battling with the idea if both sites should be mirror sites, or slightly different, but always bilingual, will see…:), it is a vast plot…to make you visit both….:D

Il y a quelques photos de plus présentées dans cet article, comparé à celui de ce matin sur mon site en français, bilingue anglais, celui-ci est bilingue aussi mais anglais bilingue…la dualité canadienne je présume…:). Je me demande toujours si je ferai ces deux sites, pratiquement un miroir l’un de l’autre, peut-être qu’éventuellement ils auront chacun leurs particularités, mais toujours bilingue, comme deux sites très semblables mais avec une légère touche différente….c’est un complot, pour vous amener à visiter les deux….:D

Il y a des tableaux et pastels et des illustrations à l’ordi, éventuellement, il y aura aussi des pages reliées aux illustrations, qui auront leur ‘propre section’ du site / There is a mix of computer works and more traditional medium like oil, acrylic painting and pastel, eventually computer works will have individual pages and sections on my sites.
