Grand Canyon, Flight Simulator

Enfin dans la région du Grand Canyon, quelques extraits photo, le vidéo, environ 10 minutes est sur ma chaîne YouTube, évidemment on ne ressent pas l’effet du vol avec un casque de réalité virtuelle, mais cela donne du moins une impression, ne maquerait que de ne pouvoir ouvrir la fenêtre et sentir l’air…la fin est brutale…ne pas essayer un ‘atterrissage improvisé’ sur un pic, même en virtuel, quoique bien sûr autre que l’avion virtuel, aucun dommage….:)

Or at least around the Grand Canyon region, in a virtual plane, of course these pics do not give the full impression of flying in VR, and of course have not much to do with flying in a real plane, but preferable to be in VR while trying a stupid landing on a mountain edge, no harm done, except to the virtual plane, me I am just fine…:)

Mon atelier, oui parfois, lorsque je dessine à l’ordi, ou fait du 3D, en fait il a changé quelque peu mais en gros c’est pas mal cela encore, cette photo a deux ans, 19 juillet 2019…

My Studio or atelier, Workshop, in a sense yes, like when I use my tablette, or my computer to work with 3D models, so it is kind of an extension of the other one…..actually it did change a bit, this pic was taken 2 years ago, July 2019, 19 th…

Is it a bird ? is it Canadian ? Is it Hugo Houle ? Superman ? no it is a virtual plane…Un avion, un canadien, Hugo Houle ? Superman ? un oiseau, un alouette, non un avion virtuel, air canada…

Manque de temps, divisé entre des choses diverses, le tour de France, avec la victoire d’étape de Hugo Houle, peu de canadien ou québécois ont gagné une étape, la performance de Jonas Vingegaard, la bataille avec Pogacar, le fair play où Vingegaard a attendu Pogacar, les deux ayant chuté ou presque dans une dangereuse descente, ralentit afin de préserver la victoire d’étape de Wout van Aert, dans le contre -la-montre d’aujourd’hui et bien d’autres choses, font que ma production de photos, s’en ressent, donc une image d’avion virtuel du simulateur Aerofly FS2, un Dash d’Air Canada, les alouettes, comme dans les Alouettes de Montréal, des oiseaux ou les ‘moineaux’ comme on les appelle affectueusement ici et Superman là dedans, seulement pour remplir un peu l’article…:)

Maybe I should have posted photos of all the other actors..but not enough time…Peut-être aurais-je du présenter des images des autres ‘acteurs’ de cet article, mais comme je l’écrivais, le manque de temps…

Bien sûr, en tant que ‘photographe’ amateur, je ne peux dire que mon implication est bien grande dans la capture d’écran tirée de logiciel de simulation, ici si ma mémoire est bonne c’est quelque part entre le Nouveau-Brunswick vers Montréal….le ciel est enflammé, de ce temps ci je ‘vole’ peu…trop occupé à peindre, faire du photoshop sur de vieilles photos, expérimenter les effets et bloguer, donc aujourd’hui, presque un congé…:)

Of course, my implication as a serious hobbyist photographer may not be that important when it does come to take screenshot from a flight simulator software, it is from a virtual flight somewhere between New-Brunswick and Montreal, nice sky, the rest is well choice of mine for view but the software does the rest, I do not ‘fly’ much these days, my time is almost all taken by painting, doing photoshop work on old pics, testing effects and of course blogging and maintaining my sites, so today it is almost a break…:)

du passé au futur..en RV From past to future in VR mode

Depuis que je me suis remis à peindre depuis le 1er avril, disons que l’utilisation du casque de réalité virtuelle a bien diminué, presque qu’inexistante depuis quelques semaines, un lien entre les deux, probablement pour ces derniers temps, mais pas au point de présumer que c’était la cause de ma longue inactivité, faut pas charrier tout de même….il y avait bien d’autres facteurs, mais je dois avouer que c’était un mode d’évasion, vais probablement m’y remettre mais mon atelier maintenant offre une voie d’évasion bien plus stimulante…en attendant deux images tirées de ces simulations, du début de l’aviation à l’exploration spatiale…pas de forme physique exceptionnelle requise, sauf une certaine habitude au casque, certaines personnes peuvent avoir de la difficulté à s’y adapter, un peu l’impression d’être désorienté…moi à part que je suis mort quelques fois, virtuellement bien sûr, rien à signaler…

My virtual reality helmet did take a long time off now for a few weeks, probably related to the fact that I am spending much more time painting now, so I guess I did trade one way to escape for another one…far from me to want to say that I was a long time without painting on the behalf of using a VR helmet, there was many other ‘distractions’ and work, but for a while it was my preferred way of spending time off, especially during the covid lockdown, not much else to do, but I could have resume painting, I did not, so now I am not using it much but il will probably come back, still like the feeling of piloting either a rally car, a plane or a space ship..so two shots taken in those simulations, one from early flight war era to another, I think it was taking off from Mars….no physical training needed, except for some people who might find the use of a VR helmet a bit disorienting…for me nothing to note, except a few untimely deaths, virtually deceased of course…

Aurelie, while I am finishing this Carla’s pastel, almost finished, so in the meantime, three new versions of this computer illustration, by this medium nature, I don’t know if it is really the continuation of this illustration, to me it is more like different version of the same subject, with more or less details, or color…

Aurelie, en attendant le pastel de Carla, qui là est presque terminé, donc en attendant trois nouvelles versions, comme ce sont des fichiers et qu’il n’y a pas à proprement parler la continuation d’un même dessin, mais plutôt des versions qui évoluent dans toutes les directions, donc celle ci, avec plus de couleurs.

No time for anything..but a quick sketch

Again, worlk is taking way too much time and energy, feel like there is no time left for anything besides that, so for now art is taking the back seat, waiting for some free time, but I did manage to start a quick sketch on my computer..

Me voilà encore une fois dans une situation où le manque de temps fait que je fais bien peu de choses, sauf travailler et ce qui va autour, tout-de-même commencé un petit sketch à l’ordi, tout simpleent pour me dire qu’il y a autre chose que le travail, même si pour le moment, l’autre partie qu’on appelle la vie, prend le siège arrière…

What I do like from this sketching thing, is the rapidity and the unexpected that often comes using this medium, started with a previous sketch, from a few weeks, months ago, did some changes working to make it a bit more portrait like, and then of one of the saved versions, did learn my lesson, I am making copy to the 10 minutes, when I do remember to do it, and started playing with a few parameters in photoshop, the end result is a somewhat electric result, hence the post’s title…

Ce qui est bien avec ces esquisses, c’est l’improvisation et la rapidité, hier soir, pas grand temps pour faire quoi que ce soit, un peu de sketch à l’ordi, repris une déjà comencé voilà quelques mois, après  avoir travaillé avec le stylet, pour l’une des esquisses, je fais des copies aux dix minutes, lorsque j’y pense…j’en ai modifié une en jouant avec les courbes de luminosité et autres paramètres de photoshop…le résultat, d.où le titre…
