Yes, time to move to another, probably you were telling yourself that too….:), so another painting, this time it is an oil one, time to move also from a medium to another, I still have this ongoing interior debate, well not so interior, I’ve often written about my likes and dislikes of mediums, especially acrylic I must say…maybe after all there is no answer, just the need to change, to work with something different….so I guess I should just say I like all the mediums I use, oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor occasionnaly….probably like I do with the seasons, I like all of them, but I always happy when we move from one to another, probably the need to feel some change, going to another rythm….
Oui, probablement comme vous aussi, je me suis dit, bon temps de passer à une autre toile, et aussi de l’acrylique à l’huile, j’ai toujours ce long, plutôt interminable débat intérieur, enfin plus ou moins puisque j’en fait mention régulièrement dans ce blog….est-ce que j’aime mieux l’huile ou l’acrylique, à moins que ce ne soit le pastel….:), je commence à croire que je ne trouve pas la réponse, tout simplement parce qu’elle n’existe pas la réponse, ou toutes les réponses sont bonnes…..ici on a quatre saisons, et je les aime toutes, par contre je suis toujours content lorsqu’une fait place à l’autre, le changement serait peut-être la réponse, le besoin de passer à autre chose, un autre rythme….
Here’s the most recent version, did not like the area surrounding her hair, I thought it was difficult to see, textures all the same, so I try something like a ‘clair obscur’ dark on dark, with sparkling of light defining both, and I did simplify the texture around her hair, I think the effect is better now…I’m not sure that clair obscur is the right term, but I think you do get the general idea of what I’m trying to say or do….:)
Voici la plus récente, j’aimais plus ou moins ses cheveux, je trouvais cette partie du tableau confuse, comme moi souvent…:), pense avoir réussi à la rendre plus intéressante, j’aime travaillé foncé sur foncé, avec des éclats de lumière, et des tons diffus, un clair obscur, pas sûr que ce terme décrit bien ce que je veux dire ou faire, mais je crois que vous devinez ce que je veux dire….:)

Quant à l’huile vs l’acrylique…aujourd’hui je dirais que j’aime mieux l’huile….
And between oil and acrylic, today I would say that oil is my favorite….
