One more time, Liz…
Good thing I do have those slides and negatives to arrange in photoshop, so when I need of break from this painting, I know what to do , and when I need a break from sorting, scanning, modifying those pics I go back to painting..but now I also must take care of my domestic things to do…my short vacation is over and I must prepare for this week’s work…snif snif, so what I was going to say is that I did work quite a bit on Liz painting’s, her face is becoming ok, I love the texture and lights on her dress and boots, the background, so it is almost there…but I have to let it dry for a bit of time before working some details….the pic of the latest version…
Bonne chose que j’aie ces diapositives ou négatifs à travailler avec photoshop, donc lorsque je me sens bloqué sur ce tableau, je vais me changer les esprits….et vice-versa lorsque j’ai besoin d’une pause de la manipulation des fichiers numérisés, d’écrire des brouillons d’articles et des diverses tâches ménagères…qui redeviennent plus pressantes, ma courte vacance est terminée…snif, snif…mais voilà j’ai tout-de-même pas mal avancé avec ce tableau, je pense qu’il est presqu’arrivé à la fin, son visage s’en vient à mon goût, les textures et luminosité des sa robe et ses bottes, me plaisent de plus en plus…bref il manque bien peu, mais elle est due pour un repos…le temps de sécher quelque peu…la photo…

A short pause from painting, it is Liz’s turn now, still working on this one this morning, so here’s the latest version, hum not quite right, as I wrote I’m working on it this morning, and will get back to it, as soon as I am finish with this post. So you can expect another version soon, tomorrow, anyhow we will see, highly possible too there will be more scanned photos.
Une petite pause de l’atelier, c’est au tour de Liz depuis hier, et encore ce matin, donc je vais prendre le temps d’écrire un court article, afin de présenter la version d’hier soir…qui a déjà changé….la suite, probablement demain, devrait y avoir quelques photos entre temps.

I hate mondays, I really do…the only good thing about that day it is when it is over….but this Liz’s painting is not over yet, still missing something or maybe it is just that like a young teenager who pin on the wall pictures of his favorite actress, singer or model, I just can’t let her go….maybe I should start another painting of her, but It just came back to my mind that I already have two paintings of her going now, so maybe I should at least finish one before getting to another of her…in the meantime the latest version….
Je hais les lundis…la seule bonne chose des lundis, c’est lorsque finalement ils sont choses du passé…par contre Liz n’est pas encore du passé, et contrairement aux lundis, je l’aime bien moi Elizabeth Hurley, probablement pour cela que l’éternel ado amoureux de son modèle actrice chérie ne se lasse pas de la peindre, peut-être que je devrais en commencer une autre d’elle, mais par contre j’en ai déjà deux en cours, donc faudrait que j’en termine au moins une avant…en attendant une photo.
And maybe I should also post the version when I quit saturday night, forgot to take a picture last night, got a bit lost but re founded, not bad for a monday finally…
Et pourquoi pas montrer ce qu’elle avait l’air samedi soir, oublié de prendre une photo hier, je m’étais un peu perdu entre temps mais c’est revenu, finalement pour un lundi c’est pas si mal je pense….
Did I showed you her pic, I don’ quite remember, I guess that probably what they call a selective memory, in this case a selective action of forgetting, so just in case I did not previously show her picture, there it is.
Est-ce que je vous ai déjà montré sa photo, hum on commence à me faire savoir que parfois je pers la mémoire, elle doit être sélective ma mémoire, donc au cas où je ne l’aurais pas fait voici sa photo.

Well maybe I should just relax, sit or stand in front of my easel, very tempting…
Bien sûr je la regarde et je me dis, bon peut-être que je devrais m’installer au chevalet et peindre, tentant…
And I am telling myself, maybe it would be a good thing to go outside, take some fresh air, painting could wait a bit longer, a look at the window, and can’t really tell anything
Et là, je me dis bien beau peindre mais prendre l’air est tout aussi important, peux pas vraiment bien voir à l’extérieur par la fenêtre, faudra bien mettre le nez dehors…
Of course, it is not so dark in my living room, just did not take the time to correct the pic in photoshop….and besides, I like the mood, and to me it is just saying, ok not that sunny, but I have the feeling something great is waiting for me outside…I must go…..
Évidemment, il ne fait pas si sombre dans mon salon, trop paresseux pour ajuster la photo dans photoshop, par contre j’aime l’effet…un monde extérieur plein de surprises m’attend j’en suis sûr….
She’s coming that Liz?
Well it’s about time isn’t it? for me to show a pic of Liz’s painting, enough saying it is coming, varnishing the painting and so on, so even If I am quite tired tonight, as usual I try to post something on my site JMR-ART, and tomorrow I will be hiding in front of my computer, during lunch time, so much for socializing…, trying to catch a bit of time while eating my great lunch, to post on WordPress, Blogger and other things on the net, sometimes I feel it is almost like a drug, no I prefer drugs, soft ones, like beer, and…ah leave the reader in doubt….:), I did not inhale it, can’t say that about beer and wine….:), so the pic…
Il serait bien temps de montrer une première version de ce tableau de Liz…..je pourrais écrire plus longuement mais je suis fatigué ce soir, et je veux la présenter sur mon site ce soir (jmr-art) et demain je serai affamé, puisque je passerai mon heure de dîner en ermite dans mon cubicule en train de pubier sur WordPress, Blogger et autres nettetés…donc Liz, une version, une autre…c’est presque qu’une drogue ces affaires là, quoique non à bien y penser les drogues, douces bien sûr, comme la bière…et ah je vous laisse deviner…sont plus le fun, mais je ne peux le faire ici au bureau…:), bon la photo…

Liz photo, it’s been a while, so maybe you don’t quite remember what she look like, although I hope the painting already gave you a hint….and the slideshow.
La photo de LIz, comme ça fait un bout, peut-être que vous l’avez oublié, quoique j’ose espérer que le tableau vous en donne déjà une bonne idée, et après le diaporama.
My new trick….
As you probably did noticed, I did changed a bit my way of presenting my works, usually I would have made one post for many painting sessions if they were spent on the same painting, now I kind of revert to the description of this blog, which to me is more like a journal, almost daily…or trying for it to be daily, hence I write usually a post by painting session, of course this means that you will probably see the same painting on and on for days sometimes, a slow slideshow….hope you won’t mind it…
Comme vous l’avez sûrement remarqué, j’ai changé un peu ma façon de présenter mes articles et tableaux, avant j’aurais attendu et regroupé plusieurs séances dans un seul article, là comme je me disais que ce blog est en quelque sorte mon journal en peinture, j’ai donc décidé de faire un article par séance de ‘travail’, évidemment comme parfois je m’attarde…sur certains tableaux plusieurs séances en ligne, il risque d’y avoir une certaine redondance, en espérant que cela reste tout-de-même intéressant…De plus cela me permet de constituer une banque d’articles, par contre évidemment la plupart des tableaux présentés dateront de quelques jours, et parfois auront complètement changé entre le moment où j’ai fait cette version et l’article..enfin pas bien grave je crois…
So here’s another one from Austin Liz Powers…or Liz Hurley, can’t even remember the name of her character, I think it is Vanessa, Wikipedia is there for that if your really want to know, so back to painting, I’m working on a more subtle pace, more in ‘peaufinage’ or working more on delicate details, her face, hair and of course a bit on her boots, and costume…so here’s the equivalent of a thousand words…
Donc une autre séance sur Liz Ausin Powers, je ne peux même pas me rappeler le nom de son personnage, Vanessa je crois mais enfin…pour le moment plutôt à l’étape du peaufinage, petites retouches ici et là, surtout au niveau du visage et des cheveux, les ombres, etc…Une photo, car comme on le sait, cela vaut mille mots…

Liz! Another one….
Liz, again, is back on the easel, I have two of them in progress, must be because she is my muses queen’s…:), here she wears her scifi or spyfie suit, from the great movie, ok not a classic but a classic in is genre, Austin Powers, a parody of James Bond, but I don’t think Liz would qualify as a parody of beauty….Still playing a lot with the background where all kind of colors and shapes are either spreading or envelopping her, seems this is a major trend in my paintings these days, will see where it goes…I not good at writing about painting or anything else, so they say a pic is worth 1000 words, so here’s the equivalent of two thousands….and many more if counting the pics in the slideshow
Une autre de Liz, j’en ai deux en cours, je dois rendre à César, enfin à la reine de mes muses, bof sais pas trop ce que je dois lui rendre, donc Liz dans son costume qu’elle portait dans le grand film…hum ok petit film drôle,,,d’Austin Powers…parodie des James Bond, par contre Liz n’est sûrement pas une parodie de la beauté…:) Je semble être partie à rendre mes fonds de plus en plus abstrait, fluide, un peu comme si les trainées de couleur émanant du modèle se répandent partout sur le tableau, on verra où cela mènera…Une photo vaut mille mots, donc voilà 2000 mots….et bien plus encore si je compte les diapos…

Time to get back….
Well, maybe it is about time to me to get back to it, been very, very quiet these last months, did a bit of painting, but the will to paint was least to say, faint, very faint, I don’t know if it is back for good, maybe my posts will be more sparesely done, but I do have lot of catching up to do, started a new painting, work on a few others, but for now, this is the one I did work on yesterday, Liz Hurley, in a costume she wore in an Austin Powers film, a classic…in his own style….:)
Cela fait un bout de temps que je n’ai rien présenté, alors peut-être que le temps est venu de s’y remettre……les derniers mois ont été peu ou pas productifs, pourquoi? résumons en disant que le goût de peindre n’était pas au rendez-vous, j’en ai fait un peu, même commencé une nouvelle toile, que je présenterai une autre fois….pour le moment, celle que j’ai retravaillé hier et voilà deux semaines…Liz Hurley dans son costume du film Austin Powers….un classique…en son genre…:)

I’m back…once more….
Another though period, filled with many thoughts and wondering what the hell I’m doing, I don’t write much about me usually, more about my painting, but for once I will do an exception. I used to be, in a previous quite distant life, at least it look to me that way…an engineer. Went for a change of carreer, working less, taking more time for painting and drawing, still working in a related field to enginnering but not as demanding timewise and more importantly thinking…like when you get home or waking in the middle of the night and you’re still ‘working’….:) But recently, I got laid off, and called back to work, so if there is work I work, if not I don’t, it is getting hard on my nerves… and I’m getting older, not very old but not young anymore and all of this doesn’t help focusing on painting or blogging as a matter of fact, so of course I’ve been very quiet in the last few weeks….I’m still not sure what I will do, of course I’m questionning myself a lot these days…not good for painting, at least for me. So maybe it is time to take of break of these doldrums and try to get back to painting, so here’s the latest one I did reworked.
Une autre période ou intermission dans mes articles et aussi la peinture bien entendu…..pour plusieurs raisons, mise-à-pied au travail, pas que je vis pour mon travail mais j’en ai besoin pour vivre, et comme je commence à me faire vieux…il s’en est suivi une période plutôt intense de remise en question…pas propice à la peinture. Par la suite, retour pour une période temporaire au travail mais là ce sont des semaines de fous, beaucoup trop d’heures, encore là, peindre et blogger deviennent des activités mises non pas à pied mais en suspend….toujours pas résolu ou décidé de ce que je vais faire, tiens pas que j’aime écrire sur ce que je fais ou faisais, autre que la peinture, mais pour cette fois je fais exception…..il y a très longtemps jadis, ok pas tant que cela….:) je trouvais que cela faisait un bon début d’histoire, donc voilà quelques année je travaillais comme ingénieur, puis décidé d’un changement de carrière, aussi de mode de vie; travailler moins, vivre plus….mais avec moins d’agent pas toujours facile…et me donner plus de temps pour peindre et dessiner…maintenant je ne suis plus aussi sûr d’avoir fait le bon choix…donc bien sûr le questionnement est quotidien et prend trop de place, beaucoup trop, donc vais le mettre de côté pour le moment et montrer la dernière toile sur laquelle j’ai travaillé, presque terminée….il va sans dire.
