Seems I’m in a ‘terninator’ mood these weeks, I must admit that most of my ‘in progress’ works are pretty close or actually finished, ready to be signed…so here’s the latest one, a pastel figuring Alicia Silverstone

Semble que je sois en mode finition ou ‘terminator’….:), faut dire que plusieurs des mes oeuvres en cours sont bien près ou rendues à la signature…donc voici la dernière, un pastel, Alicia Silverstone

But there were of course previous versions I worked on yesterday…here two versions, not quite finished then, the background is more colorful and texture, maybe a bit too much. Worked on her face, dress and hair too..

Il y a eu aussi ces différentes versions au cours de la journée, une où l’arrière plan est plus coloré et texturé, tout en retravaillant son visage, sa robe et ses cheveux…

I was torned off between having a colorful, textured background or a much more subtile one, I did go for a smoother version, but addind colors and textures to her dress, face and hair…so here’s the very final versions…signed, yes I know it was signed before, but these were preliminary signatures…the last one is the final one, the diffierence? I guess I’m the only one who know it…:)

J’hésitais entre un arrière plan plus texturé ou moins présent, plus estompé….finalement opté pour l’estompage, et un peu plus de travail, texutres dans les vêtements, le visage et ses cheveux….les dernières versions, et oui elle est terminée, j’allais dire signée, mais je l’avais signé voilà déjà quelques versions…signature préliminaire qui devient finale…faut dire qu’en plus les deux se ressemblent…:)

The final version, but is it? of this Alicia Silverstone pastel’s, I think it is over and done, but that would not be the first time, that I decide to add a bit more, but now I think it is finished….and also the previous two versions, done over the last few weeks, between many periods of telling myself, I should do something, like art…but got lost more than often between my living room, computer and l’atelier…about 1,5 m or 2 max between these places…need some king of GPS…

La version, que je crois finale, quoique l’acharnement artistique je connais cela…… mais je pense qu’il est bien terminé ce pastel d’Alicia Silverstone; ainsi que les deux versions précédentes, travaillées lors des deux ou trois dernières semaines….sporadiquement…très sporadiquement…:), entre des périodes pas très actives, du genre de celles où on se dit qu’on devrait faire quelque chose et qu’on se perd en chemin, du salon à l’atelier…environ 1,5 m dans mon cas…

A last version of Alicia Silverstone pastel, seems to me that not much has changed, maybe it is just time to tell myself, ok it is finished…..will see in a few weeks, in the meantime, reworked an oil painting of a dancer, photos later, as well some more infos on yesterday painting of this model, would be photographer….
La dernière version du pastel d’Alicia Silverstone, peu de changements me semble, peut-être que c’est un signe qu’elle est terminée….:), du moins je la laisse de côté, déjà retravaillé une toile à l’huile, une danseuse, les photos plus tard, aujourd’hui et demain et probablement un peu plus sur ce tableau présenté hier, ce modèle qui voudrait bien être photographe…

Easy to get started, just have to kick myself you know where, the pastels are there, ready to use and leave theirs beautiful colors and textures….that’s a good thing, especially on a week night, where time, again that time thing…is limited…

Facile à s’installer, par rapport à l’huile ou l’acrylique, où il faut préparer une palette, et après le nettoyage, alors que mes batonnets de pastel, sont là, prêts à laisser leur traces de couleurs…ce qui est bien un soir de semaine, où le temps se fait toujours aussi limité….donc ce soir un pastel, celui d’Alicia Silverstone…voilà bien des années…

Yes, I know, been way too long for me to ‘get back’ to Art…other things kind of took much of my time, and I went on idle mode afterward, so here, I’m back for one more time, been a few of these comebacks….this one should be more ‘permanent’….so for this return, a pastel of Alicia Silverstone, still in progress….

Oui je sais, ça fait un bout….difficile à expliquer, donc je ne le ferai pas…:), travaillé sur des choses autres que l’Art…parfois faut s’occuper du reste de ces choses et je suis tombé sur ‘le neutre’, alors on s’y remet….là j’espère que tout revient à la normale, et ce pour de bon…pour ce x ième retour, un pastel d’Alicia Silverstone…pas tout-à-fait fini…

Did a bit of pastel, all day long, on and off, Alicia, it is coming along pretty good,…besides that I started working on a new one, I’m still at the stage where I’m preparing the sketch in photoshop….sizing, correcting, and others things…

Il shall be another acrylic…but this time, I am leaning toward more of a mixed technique approach, watercolor color paper, pasted on canvas, sketched with watercolor, I am not a watercolorist per say, I am not using it often, and when I do it is more for sketching, but this time as I did a few times so far, I will finish it with acrylic, two water base medium, and the way I’m working with acrylic, it is often very diluted…maybe that why it seems to me, that often I have problems working in acrylic, and I am often tempted to finish them in oils…more later on that…and later this week-end, another version of Kristen, now Alicia’s pastel, the last two versions

Seems I could not get decided if I should work on either one…so, went you can decide which one to choose, maybe it is time to work on something quite different, and these days pastel, which I kind of rediscovered last few weeks , does seem to be a good answer to this ambivalence…so I did work on this Alicia Silverstone pastel’s, did not advance or change it very much, the pace tonight was more quiet, almost peaceful…but not quite, more quiet than peaceful…so, a bit of dirt on my finger here a post about this pastel, the follow up on Kristen, will be for the next few days….

Yes the one begun last nigth, here’s the latest version, actually from last night, did not reworked it today, at least not yet…still reworking the painting of this lady with a suitcase, sometimes I do forget how it is good switching from one medium to another and getting back to it, wasn’t saying that a few hours ago, the painting wasn’t going well, actually the body was fine and coming along very nice, the face did just go….but it is coming back, but enough, I’m writing things about a future post, so about Alicia’s pastel, the latest version photo….

and the early stages of this pastel, so far spanning about 90 minutes, I guess it is not that important, how much time, it is quite at the beginning yet…
