It always the kind of way I’m feeling when I try to get back on track a painting that went a bit off, like the Kristen’s one….fixing a few things here and there, correcting, adding, taking away others….Finally I think it is coming back, I like the background, even if I’m still unsure what I will do with it, still in a changing mode, and finallly seems that her face and body are getting right, love her dress and the playing of foldings and colors, so I guess I’m feeling quite happy witb the way it is going, even if it is still far from finish…

C’est toujours un peu l’impression que j’ai avec un tableau qui a plus ou moins dérapé, comme celui de Kristen, encore des problèmes à résoudre, mais il prend du mieux. J’aime bien l’atmosphère qui se dégage de cette scène, et je sens que le corps du modèle, son visage prennent finalement la forme que je voulais lui donner…sais pas trop encore à quel point je pousserai les jeux de lumières et de couleur dans sa robe et l’arrière-plan du tableau…je verrai bien selon l’inspiration du moment…..

I sometimes mentioned that things went sideway, not to say bad with a painting, and most of the time, I do not take many photos, often waiting to get back on track…so here’s one of these moments, but before the previous version of this painting, been a while…

Souvent je dis que parfois ça dérape, la plupart du temps je reprends le chemin, mais je pense rarement à photographier un de ces moments…en voici un, auparavant la version précédente, puisqu’il y a longtemps que je n’avais travaillé cette toile…

But of course I think I will be able to improve this painting, I would even say that more than often these ‘dérapages’ sliding away, add something to my painting, I mean besides lot of time to repair it…more like unexpected handling and others things, in this case I want to play more with the contrast and the very strange light of this painting, which I had pretty good in the early stages with acrylic, than decided to go for oils, more subtle in colors and folds of her dress, and lot of problem getting her pose right…so difficult times ahead…

Mais bien sûr je pense être en mesure de ‘réparer’ et parfois ces dérapages plus ou moins contrôlés ajoutent à l’occasion à l’ensemble du tableau, pas toujours mais occasionnellement….et d’autres fois, un tableau prend une autre direction…un peu si comme pour une fois j’essayais de retrouver quelque chose que j’avais au début de ce tableau, alors à l’acryliques, et que tout était plus découpé, tout en jouant sur les textures entre les espaces négatifs et positifs, l’ombre et la lumière, qui je l’avoue n’a rien de naturelle dans ce tableau….

Well it is definitely be a long one, seems I’m almost trying to do two paintings in this one…a more abstract one, playing with the strange light, shapes, contrast, like when it did started as an acrylic…and the other much more subtle, colors moving one into another, folds of her dress and some softness I’m trying to get painting this model….and the pose is still giving me all kind of troubles….it will be a long one….

Oui définitivement, elle prend prend un autre chemin cette toile là…chemin qui pourrait être long, intéressant? on verra…j’ai un peu l’impression d’essayer de faire deux tableaux dans celui-ci, un plus abstrait, découpé, qui  conviendrait bien à l’acrylique, et un autre plus nuancé, plus doux, et c’est pourquoi je l’ai continué à l’huile…tout ce que je sais, c’est qu’il est bien loin de la fin….
