Mes modèles 3D… My models 3D

C’est un peu trompeur comme titre, je n’ai pas ‘construit’ ce modèle, Jessi qu’elle s’appelle selon les créateurs, moi tout ce que j’ai fait, je l’ai posé, dans le logiciel DAZ Studio, changé l’angle de vue de la caméra et positionné de l’éclairage, un studio photo en virtuel, bien sûr il manque des décors, faudrait que je travaille sur cela, mais comme je vais probablement utiliser cette photo comme référence pour une esquisse, je préparerai un fond le moment venu, en attendant Glamourous Jessi, un modèle qui ‘date’ un peu, une version un peu viellotte mais je l’aime bien mon modèle, même si elle n’existe qu’en pixels..:)

A bit misleading as tittle, I did not ‘construct’ this model myselft, bought from her creators, my part is only posing, dressing the model, setting the camera and lighting, of course the stage is lame, nothing, could and should take the time to set up a background, but eventually this pic will be used for a sketch and then I might just do a proper setup in Photoshop, so in the meantime, Glamourous Jessi, one of my favorite models, even if she does not exist except as a sum of bits and pixels, but I like to model her with Poser or as in this case DAZ Studio…

Modèle pour esquisse future… Model for a future sketch…

J’ai cette esquisse en cours, avec un semblant de modèle qui prend forme lentement, mais je me demandais si un rendu de modèle obtenu avec le logiciel Poser et le modèle Jessi, pourrait être une alternative et un modèle mieux défini, pour l’esquisse j’aime dessiner mes modèles à main levée avec le stylus, tablette et Photoshop, question de donner une facture plus artistique…à suivre…sur ce site et mon autre site plus orientée vers la peinture et le dessin…

I have this sketch that I am working on, the model I started to draw is still quite sketchy and I am not sure at this point how it will evolve, than I thought about using as an additionnal layer a rendering made in Poser using model Glamourous Jessi, a model from an older generation of this software but that I still like to use in a lot of my renderings. This may become a reference image for the sketch, I prefer drawing it freehand rather then tracing over the layer, after all this is more like painting then and I do prefer the look, the render is nice but it does not look like a painting, even a digital one…probably some more to come on this on this site and more on my other site which is dealing more with painting, drawing and digital art…

Bon pas vraiment préparé un photo à présenter, donc un rendu 3d de logiciel d’animation, édité dans Photoshop fera l’affaire, la version précédente, que j’avais édité sommairement et une plus travaillée dans Photoshop

Évidemment les rendus sauvegardés en jpg demandent plus de travail afin de créer des calques, sauvegarder en png ferait en sorte que cela soit plus facilement éditable, aussi je devrais peut-être essayer de faire des rendus du modèle, de ses vêtements, ses cheveux ou autres accessoires et voir si l’agencement des calques ainsi obtenus permettraient des ajustements plus précis, à expérimenter éventuellement…

Of course it would be much easier if the render was in png instead of jpg, I could then more easily separate the layers, even I could test in the software to render each item of the scene in his own rendering, would then obtain a layer for each item, body, stockings, boots, hair or any other items, and it would probably be much easier to edit, I guess I will have to explore this and see if it does work fine..

Quelques rendus d’un logiciel d’animation et de pose, Glamourous Jessi, c’est son ‘nom de modèle virtuelle’ avec Poser 13….l’autre logiciel que j’utilise est Daz Studio, une de ces images, un jour fera un tableau ou une esquisse…

A few renderings using virtual model Glamourous Jessi, not a name given by me, it is her ‘model maker name’…posed with Poser 13, the other software that I use a lot is Daz Studio, both do a fine job, some day, one of these will probably be a painting or a sketch…

Un rendu qui sera probablement utilisé, du moins servira à inspirer, ce sera plus un outil afin de dessiner la version que je voudrai bien produire, un jour, pas trop lointain je pense…

A rendering, probably to be used, not really with the goal of making a copy with my tablet and pen, but more as an inspiration for this digital sketch, actually it is started but need this as a tool to set the pose…

C’est souvent ce que je me dis en peignant mes tableaux ou en dessinant à la tablette…comme par exemple pour cette esquisse en cours…

Would be nice to have a model, that is what I do often tell myself while painting or drawing with my tablet..like for this ongoing sketch for an example…

Donc j’essaie de palier à ceci en utilisant des logiciels qui permettent de poser et d’animer des modèles virtuels, je dois améliorer la reproduction d’une pose, comme ici l’angle de prise de vue est à travailler ainsi que la pose, disons que j’en suis encore au niveau des tests et apprentissage…quant à la seconde image, ce serait plus une image référence pour une nouvelle esquisse ou tableau, cette fois je partirais plutôt de la l’image générée plutôt que de tenter de reproduire une pose d’un modèle imaginaire….

So I am trying to learn and experiment with posing and animating software to help me in those sketches and finding a similar pose, here is a few examples, the first one is close but too many things to fix, the view is not right, on the wrong side, and the pose itself would need some adjusting, the second is more for another sketch, this time I would rather start it from the virtual model pose instead of trying to reproduce it…

3D Modelling and textures….

A bit of change, some 3D modelling waiting for more painting , illustration or plain photography, Jessi again, with the standard textures files provided with the 3d objects by the provider, like those boots red textures.

Un peu de variété, entre un article de peinture, de photo et d’illustration un peu de 3D peut-être…Jessi encore une fois, sans manipulation, sauf pour des textures qui parfois sont fournies, comme celles de ses bottes par exemple.

But of course, both of these softwares and others than Poser and Daz Studio, do offer some way of tampering the look of 3D objects in many ways, here I experimented with textures, the interface in Poser to modify them does look a bit difficult the first time you look at it, here’s what it does look like…it is a bit scary at first…:)

Bien sûr, Poser et Daz Studio, ainsi que la plupart des logiciel de modelage et d’animation 3D offrent de multiples manières de modifier un object 3D, dans ce cas-ci je me suis contenté de modifier la texture de son costume et de ses bottes, l’interface du logiciel pour modifier la texture dans Poser a l’air un peu rébarbative, lorsqu’on l’utilise une première fois, je commence à me sentir plus-à-l’aise avec cela mais il y a encore beaucoup à apprendre…

Poser matériaux

So I did use one of my own photograph, a black and white picture of a wharf, to apply this you have to work with dials and screens as shown in the capture image shown on top of this paragraph, the black and white picture can be seen in the bottom part of the screen, his mauve tint come from the multiple links from each boxes, each link or box do control the color, texture, either by an image or will give a solid texture, transparency or else the 3D object

J’ai donc utilisé une de mes propres photos, que l’on voit dans le bas de l’écran de capture ci-dessus, la photo est en noir et blanc mais je lui ai donné une teinte mauve, les liens entre les diverses boîtes vont modifier la photo selon une multitude de paramètres, qui donnent une couleur, transparence, texture sous forme d’image  ou d’effet 3D comme ajouter du grain ou toutes autres textures solides voulues.

Work a bit on one of my 3D modelling software, I cannot take any credit at all in the making of those 3d models, this is a complex and difficult work, time consuming, one day I wish I will have to time to try to build something, I did once in Autocad and 3D Studio, it is lot of fun, but be ready to invest a lot of time. So in this case it is just a matter to fit clothes on the model, a bit sexy I know…:), play with pose, lighting, texture..here is an example.

Travaillé quelque peu sur un de mes logiciels 3D et un modèle 3D, que je me contente d’animer…et de faire poser, je ne peux prendre le crédit de la création de ce modèle, un travail complexe, difficile et très long, mais un jour, lorsque j’aurai du temps, j’aimerais m’y mettre…en attendant je me contente de lui donner des poses, tout en modifiant l’éclairage, l’ange de vue, et de la vêtir,   oui de manière quelque peu sexy…:)

A few of you did ask me what was my ‘part’ in those 3d modelling stills, actually like I said I don’t have any credit for the models or accessories themselves, they are made by others, it is a complex task, time consuming, I know how to do simple or a bit complex models, in Autocad, 3D studio, hopefully eventually I will have time to get to this, so my part is putting accessories on the model, fit them, because like showned after, there is always some ‘poking’ from one figure showing through the one that is on top, like the stockings showing through the boots fabric. I also play with textures, lighting, and a few more things.

Certains m’ont demandé ou poser quelques questions sur l’utilisation et aussi quelle part j’ai dans la création de ces illustrations, comme mentionné, pour le moment je prends des modèles existants, incluant les accessoires et les placent sur le modèle, je décide des poses, fait quelques animations, pas si évident que cela, du moins pour moi…:), arrange l’éclairage et aussi corrige à l’aide d’outil de ces logiciels des défauts, comme illustré ci dessous, dans un premier cas j’ai ajouté des bas au modèle, par contre les bas passent au travers du matériel de ses bottes.

If this is of any interest to you, I will add posts, showing some aspects of fixing these things, and more technical side to the use of these softwares, I don’t consider myself an expert, and it won,t probably interest those of you familiar with these tools, but it may catch the attention of others who don’t know about these softwares and technics, let me know if it is of any interest, but anyhow I will probably do it anyway…:) it will be a good way for me to push myself getting more into improving my knowledge of these tools.

Si cela présente un certain intérêt je ferai des articles plus détaillés illustrant ces correctifs et autres aspect techniques des ces logiciels, évidemment les ‘experts’ avec ses logiciels n’y trouveront que peu ou pas d’intérêt mais je pense que cela pourrait intéresser les ‘non-initiés’…:) vous pouvez me le laisser savoir…mais j’en ferai probablement de toutes manières…:D
