Une simple photo d’une rue de mon quartier, Rosemont à Montréal, un soir d’avril, pas beaucoup d’action…:)
A simple pic taken in one of my borough, Rosemont in Montreal, on an April night, not much going on…:)
Bien sûr, en tant que ‘photographe’ amateur, je ne peux dire que mon implication est bien grande dans la capture d’écran tirée de logiciel de simulation, ici si ma mémoire est bonne c’est quelque part entre le Nouveau-Brunswick vers Montréal….le ciel est enflammé, de ce temps ci je ‘vole’ peu…trop occupé à peindre, faire du photoshop sur de vieilles photos, expérimenter les effets et bloguer, donc aujourd’hui, presque un congé…:)
Of course, my implication as a serious hobbyist photographer may not be that important when it does come to take screenshot from a flight simulator software, it is from a virtual flight somewhere between New-Brunswick and Montreal, nice sky, the rest is well choice of mine for view but the software does the rest, I do not ‘fly’ much these days, my time is almost all taken by painting, doing photoshop work on old pics, testing effects and of course blogging and maintaining my sites, so today it is almost a break…:)
Non on ne voit pas deux ponts, enfin l’autobus roulait sur le ‘vieux’ pont Champlain, l’autre le nouveau pont du même nom était en construction à ce moment là, les grues, assez impressionnantes par leur hauteur et structure, donnait une impression un peu irréelle tôt ce matin là, le nouveau pont surgissant du fleuve Saint-Laurent, comme Godzilla, ok réveille toi, ce n’est qu’un nouveau pont; donc moi à moitié, peut-être trois quarts endormi, le nez dans la fenêtre, l’appareil photo à l’oeil pensait que cela ferait un cliché qui aurait fait rougir Henri Cartier Bresson d’envie, capturer l’insaisissable moment, probablement pas finalement, mais pour moi c’était me donner l’impression que ce n’était pas si mal d’aller au travail, même si ma tête elle y allait de reculons….une photo pour se dire que la journée en vaudra la peine…
No, you won’t see two bridges, at least not without some explanations….one, the old pont Champlain, trembling not yet crumbling into the St Lawrence river, at least not that morning I was hoping, I’m on the bus riding to the south shore, half maybe more asleep, let settle for 3/4 or 1/4 awake, just enough to have my nose pressed into the bus window and my camera sitting between my eye and another part of the aforementioned window…I thought about, like Henri Cartier Bresson, capturing one of those fleeting moments…ok just press the shutter, to catch a glimpse of the rising sun shining on those huge tentacular cranes, Cervantes would have talked about giants, making the new Champlain bridge coming out of the river, like some Godzilla, ok wake up not a monster or giants, just a bridge..so another of those random bus shots, just to convince me that after all I had some reason to go to work…
Finalement je croyais probablement au moment que j’ai appuyé sur le déclencheur que ce serait une longue et éreintante journée, comme cela fait un certain temps de cela, je ne m’en souviens plus, mais probablement que mon impression était bonne, le cliché lui, hum pas sûr, devrais en faire un tableau plus ou moins réel avec Godzilla dans le décor…:)
Finally I probably thoughted at the time of pressing the button that it was going to be a long harassing day, can’t say it’s been too long since, but it probably was…and the photo, well, maybe I should make a painting out of it, with a bit of surreal ambiance maybe, like Godzilla coming to tear down the bridge, or both….:)
Toujours en mode d’apprentissage avec mon nouvel meilleur ami…mon Nikon tout neuf ou presque…j’ai lu un peu l’épais manuel qui vient avec l’appareil, et jusqu’à date je ne m’étais pas trop ‘aventuré’ dans les nombreux réglages, laissant même de côté les réglages manuels…je m’y suis mis, plusieurs tests, et revenu à la bonne vieille méthode…au lieu de lire, de me demander à quoi sert ce bouton et cet autre là…finir par comprendre pas mal de choses, faut croire que je suis encore assez intuitif pour découvrir, donc plusieurs photos en banque mais que je dois traiter, minimalement en photoshop, donc pour ce soir, seulement une photo, le cinéma Beaubien tout près de chez moi, un des rares cinémas encore indépendant des grandes chaînes…et au style un peu vieillot que j’aime bien…je crois que c’était en utilisant le mode ‘crépuscule’ mais pas sûr…:)
Still very much in learning mode with my new best friend…my friend Nikon, still pretty new almost, did a lot of shooting on automatic mode, did not have to time to read the book coming with it and wasn’t too inclined to do it, but I did start to read a bit and more like an old fashion manner of trying what does this button, and this one, or this funny little one…and found out a lot of things, seems that my intuition is still pretty good, so a lot of new shots in bank, but I have to do some minimal treatment in photoshop before, I guess I should look more into script..so tonight just one photo, I am keeping some in reserve…the place is an old fashioned cinema, one of the rare independant one, I like the style of the entrance, it was dusk ,coming back from work and I try one of the preprogrammed mode, ‘dusk or dawn’ I think but not quite sure, there is two or three mode quite similar to me in this, but finally I did found out how to take photos using the manual way, this will be for another post, and more testing, it is doing a lot that camera, but it does cook meals or clean the house…but it is much more fun exploring with it than doing those things…:)

Malgré tout ce que peut faire cet appareil, il y a des choses qui requiert un peu d’attention, comme par exemple ne pas s’étonner que la photo est bien sombre, surtout si en testant des choses en soirée on trouve que le mode manuel ne marche pas bien, surtout si le capuchon de la lentille n’est pas retiré…:D Parfois je suis vraiment dans la Lune…
Like I said, this camera does a lot, but it still need the owner, me in occurence, to be a bit on his job, and when trying manual mode at night, and wondering why the picture is so dark, in fact nothing was showing, that somehow, if you don’t remove the len’s cap, it won’t do any good at all…Sometimes my head is so much in the clouds….:)
