Not much going on…but I did managed to work on this ‘in progress’ painting…the good thing is these days I feel I do not have to many ‘in regress’ paintings…:), so this is a city scape with a model…of course, the photo was taken in Vienna, long time ago, a beautiful trip….of course the model wasn’t there….she’s there thank to photoshop….

Old and modern building, the modern reflecting the old one….I like playing with reflections, either water or glass or anything that reflect…well enough writing, the photo, the a few of the previous version on flickr and eventually on my site….http://www.jmr-art.com/index.html (my marketing manager was on my back for not mentionning my site…maybe I should fire him…:)) difficult I wanted to close the parenthesis but it just look like smiling and then laughing, well close parenthesis and photo…

Not quite did some painting but have to take the time to show them, so here the ‘suite’ or just another version of the last one, in fact it was done on saturday night, keeping the rest and a new in progress painting for more ‘lazy days’…:)

a painting about white boots, white gloves, a suitcase and a skirt that look like a checkered flag, the king they wave at the end of a car race…hope that it will be a good one when it’s finish, I think it look good now…so I stop writing and go on with my brushes either on this on or the next one waiting in the waiting line…what else to do in a waiting line than to wait…:)

the night before last night…confused? I am…anyway, dont know, working, painting and posting kind of make me realise that days are too short, would need 30 or 36 hours, so this is the one on monday night, worked on another tonight, so I bank it…:)

A painting that some of you probably have seen before, a girl, well dress, tailor suit, boots.. of course…:), walking into a coffee shop, actually a bar in Vienna, I was there…not the girl, but the door, me and the bartender, a good friend decided to take a picture of the door, I guess we were a bit drunk…:)), but for the painting thanks to photoshop, there’s this beautiful woman walking in…

the same one, the one I’ve been working on for the last few days…still resisting the envy to finish it with oils…but I kind of like the way it is going, so I guess I keep working with acrylic, although I feel I need a better understanding of the effect of all those products…retarder, glazing, thickener, and so on…:))

So here’s the yesterday version, not finished yet, but maybe I should let it rest a few days, not for drying…:) just for me to walk back from it a little bit…

An acrylic, somehow not my ‘specialty’…but I started to understand a few things better now about this medium, at least I think, like how to use all those products that modify acrylic paint properties, get a better feeling with each new painting….I guess we call that the learning curve…I think it is going upward…a good thing…:)

A painting about a model, no this not anything new, but no boots….this almost an oddity in one of my paintings, sometimes I trow one like this..take people off gards…:) so there’s the picture, I used photoshop to prepare the composition, I like working with this software to try different views ans arrangements..The model name is Nicole Breitenbach, a beaufitul woman..I guess sometimes I will have to paint her face, not sure it will be in this painting, kind of like the fussyness of this one now…

on this painting, of an unknown model, even her face is not showned…not my decision, the photoghapher one’s…but still I did choose the picture….and colors are not the origninal ones…so there’s the new version, will have to let this painting rest…oil has his limitations regarding drying time…
